Self-Study

Part of the process of searching for a new pastor is a self-study to help us understand and share our history, describe the ways in which we are currently engaged as a congregation, and think about our focus for the years ahead. As we move through this process, we encourage you to contact a member of the committee to share your thoughts.

Introduction

Mission Statement: “Self Study” is our next step in the search for a new permanent Pastor. The goal of the Self Study is to produce a written profile of the Milford Presbyterian Church that will be published for use in introducing prospective candidates to our mission, ministries and future plans. The team to direct this process has been selected and was introduced to the attending congregation by Pastor Kent Clise, at the September 18th service. Our 2011 Self Study Team members include Dean Burklund, Karen Nave, Mark Gatesman, Jon McLeod, and Sandy Trombley.

Contact Us: Every member of our congregation has a stake in this process. Through a formal written questionnaire, informal small group discussions and individual conversations and interviews, we will seek to engage as many in the congregation as possible to gather data, and opinion that is thorough, honest and true. We welcome and encourage your input, and invite you to take advantage of any or all of the following opportunities:

Perhaps you would like to follow-up on a question in the congregational survey. Or maybe you were not able to complete a survey. Or you may just want to speak with a team member about what you value in the church and directions you see for the future. We welcome your thoughts. Thank you for placing your trust in us as a self-study committee. We are yours in fellowship and in faith.
