2011 CROP Hunger Walk
The 2011 CROP Hunger Walk took place Sunday, October 9, 2011.
Altogether we raised $ 1,990. We had 11 Walkers and lots of Sponsors. The Youth Group did a great job hosting our church as a "Rest Stop". They gave the walkers lemonade, water, and cookies. They even had bowls of water ready for the dog walkers. Sunday, Oct. 9th was the most Beautiful Fall Day - perfect for the CROP Walk.

2010 CROP Hunger Walk
The 2010 CROP Hunger Walk took place Sunday, October 10, 2010.
This annual Crop Walk begins at St. Mary’s Church on Commerce Road and routes walkers on a beautiful trek into Milford and back to St. Mary’s. Our Milford Presbyterian Church always opens it's doors to be one of the rest stops along the way. Ours is one of about 2,000 Crop Walks taking place all across the United States to raise funds for response to critical local hunger needs, as well as international hunger and disaster relief in more than 80 countries around the world. Church World Service is dedicated to providing “tools” to help people in crisis. They provide disaster relief to communities affected by natural disasters and war, as well as education and training, counseling, and small enterprise loans as part of sustainable development programs. Millions of people around the world walk long distances every day for food, water, safe shelter, wood for fuel, to go to school, to take goods to market or to find medical care – so, WE WALK BECAUSE THEY WALK. Representing Milford Presbyterian Church were 12 walkers who raised a total of $2,045.
