Missions

Our Mission

Milford Presbyterian Church exists to continue the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ by recruiting disiples for the kingdom of God, renewing disciples in their faith commitment and reaching out in love and compassion to a world in need.

Our Vision

We of Milford Presbyterian Church will utilize our church on the corner in Milford, Michigan to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in a life-changing way that touches people's lives at the point of their need. We will reach individuals in west Oakland County and we will be a resource for the renewal of the church in the Presbytery of Detroit. We will build programs and ministries that will characterize God's church in the suburbs in the 21st century. We will be known as a 'servant church that makes a difference' for Christ in the lives of the citizens of west Oakland County and beyond.

Another Way Pregnancy Center

Believeing a children's ministry should include children at every stage of life - including the pre-born - we support this crisis pregnancy center. Children and families support this ministry through an annual coin drive, through inkind donations like diapers and formula, and with the spiritual support of prayer.

Church Chicks with Sticks

Love to stitch? Handmade items are warmly welcomed by many ministries. Another Way Pregnancy center would love to have your baby blankets, hats and booties. Grandma's Comfort in support of the Lansing Rescue Mission would love to have slippers, scarves, mittens, hats, gloves and small pouches for personal hygiene items. Members of our congregation who need a little extra TLC would love to have a shawl to wrap around them while undergoing chemotherapy or just to ward off a chill. If you like to stitch we would love to have you join in this ministry. Several members of our congregation stitch on their own and then bring the items to church to be distributed to the various ministries.

Operation Christmas Child

Coordinated by Samaritan’s Purse, each November our children and their families prepare a shoebox gift for a child in need somewhere in the world. Samaritan’s Purse delivers the shoeboxes to over 100 countries around the world. This is just another very personal way for our children to give into the lives of others; bringing God’s love to a hurting world.
