R. John Harris, Senior Pastor and his wife, Coventry

Rev. John Harris has been the Senior Pastor at Milford Presbyterian since 1992.  He has served as the Chair of the Kirk Council, Alma College for the last seven years.  He received his undergraduate degree from Lycoming College, his Masters of Divinity degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary.  Reverend Harris lives in Milford with his wife, Coventry, a former dean at West Highland Christian Academy.  John and Coventry have two daughters, Courtney, who lives with her husband Jon and their two sons in Illinois and Charlotte, who lives in Michigan. He and Coventry are the proud grandparents of two grandsons, Hays and Briggs.

In the busy lives of the people of West Oakland County and surrounding areas,the Milford Church is an oasis of love.  Our church offers ‘the personal touch’ of Jesus Christ amid the work and commuting of suburban life.  We continue to be a strong, vital and growing small town congregation located near the demographic center of Lower Michigan (M-59 and 23).  Browse our website and you will discover opportunities for bite sized involvement in fellowship, service, outreach and education.

 I truly believe the more we put into our congregation, the more we will get out of it.  As we invest more of ourselves in God and one another, we truly become members of God’s family.  We then become friends and family with one another rather than a simple sea of faces in a large and growing congregation.  I invite you into active involvement in our ‘church on the corner’.
